Rethinking Goals

Without the action of planting this bulb, no iris would ever appear.

Almost as soon as I posted my last blog about writing vs. art where I stated my lackadaisical approach to goals, I knew a correction was necessary. My misguided words about “if you must call them goals” was high handed and completely unnecessary to the intent of the blog.

Since then , I have renewed my spirit by reading the work of others as it relates to goals, especially in writing, which if you are a serious writer, you know takes a lot of hard work and yes – goals.

I’d like to recommend:

Nina Amir (NinaAmir.com) is an Amazon bestselling author of
How to Blog a Book, The Author Training Manual, and Creative
Visualization for Writers as well as a host of e-book writing guides.
She supports writers as an author coach and Certified High
Performance Coach as well as with a variety of online courses,
coaching programs, and blogs

Today I will complete all corrections on my novel so that I can discuss it intelligently and creatively with my writing teacher tomorrow.

Now! There is one solid goal. For my reward – after I have accomplished that goal I will work on my art – a large painting in progress.
